Endangered Species

Around 40% of all the species on our planet are endangered. This is mainly due to the effects of humans, such as global warming, deforestation and hunting. About 2 years I developed an extraordinary passion for whales and this passion has been growing ever since.
Whilst studying about whales I also discovered that they are one of the 40% of species which are endangered. Some whales, dolphins and porpoises are now so endangered that they could be extinct in only 10 short years. Human beings have been causing the greatest mass extinction of species since the extinction of
the dinosaurs 65 million years ago. Years and years ago, over 30,000 blue whales swam the oceans of our planet but know less than 3% of that number remains!!!!
That's why I like Greenpeace. Greenpeace specialises in helping animals whose habitats are oceans and ancient forests. If you want to make a difference and help save some of the endangered species on our planet, then you can, today. You could become a member of Greenpeace and help raise money for endangered animals. You could also the join the WDCS and adopt a whale or dolphin.
I have adopted a polar bear from Greenpeace and a Whale from the WDCS. Adopting does not mean that the animal comes and lives in your house!! It means you donate a bit of money towards it every month and you get updates on how your animal is doing. I hope reading this has made you realise how important it is to play your part in helping to save the endangered species of the world. If not, here is a video which might.
